Ukulele Design Features and Options

The design of my ukuleles looks quite normal but is very refined.  The top thickness and arching, interior bracing, wood choice, neck angle, fingerboard thickness and bridge height are all closely integrated to produce the optimum sound.  If you decide you want a pickup in the bridge it has implications which change a lot of the above parameters.   Some things can be customised for you quite easily.  A choice of tuning pegs, neck width at the nut, saddle and nut materials, original stringing, fingerboard and bridge materials, pickups and special inlays can be arranged.  Extra and/or double string courses can also be added.  Click on the headings below…..
