Model 11 Details

This a relatively new model for me.   A couple of years ago I picked up and played a small-medium bodied guitar from the late 1960s made by a very large musical instrument (and motorcycle) company.  I remembered these plain lightweight plywood guitars from back then and was surprised that this old, fairly battered guitar was still in pretty good shape and sounded as I remembered -warm, responsive maybe a little dull, but generally good.  I decided to investigate why this really lightweight, inexpensive guitar had held together so long and sounded OK.  Having worked that out I wondered about using top quality woods and all of my voicing kowledge to improve on what was a good thing.  This became my model 11.  Great response across the tonal range and extremely comfortable to play.

Australian Black Acacia and Sitka Spruce. Short 630mm scale, finely tuned bracing and the light string gauge make this guitar very easy to play.  The sound is still big, complex and interesting.
